Training

Planning, Quality, Project for Hydrogen systems and components industry.
Training scope
- Introduction to the requirements for components used in hydrogen technology.

The European Pressure Equipment Directive, announced in 2014, has become an interpretation of knowledge as well as requirements for all manufacturers offering pressure components on the European market. But the Pressure Directive is not the only interpretation. There are a few standards that have requirements, for example for the supporting structures on which the entire system is built, the welded joints that are required to connect piping components, the electrical equipment that supplies and controls the entire apparatus. Bringing all these requirements together in one coherent documentation is quite a challenge for engineering teams.

- Risk assessment for components

When undertaking work and any task, you are faced with the fact of analysing the client’s needs and requirements so that the project you are carrying out fully meets them, but also so that the end result of the project is positive. In order to achieve this, all potential risk situations must be analysed and preventive measures planned for each of them. You will not be able to eliminate the risk entirely, but you will certainly reduce its impact on the project. You will learn to plan resources for risk management.

- Project activities planning

Resource planning involves determining when machinery, tools and software will need to be involved, who will operate it, when specialised training will be required and, above all, who will pay for it all. You will learn what essential aspects of the hydrogen market need to be planned in order to put your product into service as soon as possible.

- Quality management

Each of the responsible departments of the manufacturer must meet the customer’s requirements by supplying customer characteristics with positive verification results. It is generally known that meeting the requirements one hundred per cent is a purely theoretical assumption, reality poses various problems, and it is therefore important that, once any deviation in the process resulting in a deviation of the end result beyond the required specifications is detected, a risk analysis should be carried out again and corrective action introduced. You will learn what evidence must be provided for a product to be released into service, and how to manage non-conforming products.

- Project management

It is advisable that each successive block of the project is managed by a separate group of APQP4H documents, and the best division is based on the risk level of the components. You will learn how to divide the project into smaller projects and how to manage each project team.
